Week of March 5, 2018

This week we will continue our fairy tale unit.  We will read "Cinderella" this week since we spent a lot of time with Dr. Seuss and finishing up Black History last week.  We will compare and contrast several versions of "Cinderella".  We also will read "Three Billy Goats Gruff."

We are continuing to write and edit our class fairy tale this week.

In math we will work with shapes, tally marks, height and we will do some subtraction number stories.

We will read some books about our emotion of the month:  "worry".

Our words of the week are:  how, her, but.

REMINDERS:
Report cards will go home on Friday, March 9th.  Conference notices went home.  Please return them confirming or giving an alternate date.

Please sign the report card envelope and return it next Monday.

We had two Stamford Police Officers come in and read a Dr. Seuss story to us Friday morning.
We celebrated earning our paws with a pajama day and bring a stuffed animal to school.  It was
a fun day!

We also made hats to celebrate "Read Across America" and Dr. Seuss.
