Week of October 30

This week during our literacy block we will be finishing up our Foundations Unit and getting ready to begin our Eric Carle unit next week.  We will think about some of the books we have read - both fiction and non-fiction and talk about our favorite books and why they were our favorite.

We will begin stories with a beginning, middle and end by thinking about our day.  We will draw pictures of things we do in the beginning of the day, the middle of the day and the end of our day.  We will then try to label or write a sentence to go with our pictures.

During math I will be meeting with each student to determine math skills they have mastered - counting to 10, writing numbers to ten,  counting objects, identifying shapes and position words.  We will continue to review and practice these skills this week.

Our words are: can, an, here

Our star student this week is Jordi.

REMINDERS:
