Week of June 12, 2017

This week we will finish our Animal Unit.  We are reading and writing about fish.  We are also completing a booklet that we made about the animal groups we have learned about.

We are writing a story with a beginning, middle and end.

We are working on number stories and writing number sentences to go with the story.

We will be working on some special projects as we talk about summer fun activities.

REMINDER
Wednesday, June 14 is flag day and we will have a special celebration at 2:30.


THANK YOU to all the parents that helped to make our year-end-picnic a fun and memorable time for the kids.  Everyone had a great time and it was a perfect day.

Week of June 5, 2017

This week during our literacy block we will be finishing up our Animal Unit.  We will read and chart facts about insects and fish.  We will also work on some special animal projects.

During math we will be counting and working with addition and subtraction number stories.  We also will use the calculators again this week.

We are working on some special projects for the end of the year.

REMINDER:
Friday, June 9th is our picnic.  Please join us at Cove Beach Park.  We will leave school at about 9:30 and return at 1:30.  Please remember to send a bag lunch for your child and we will provide snacks.  Your child can bring a towel to sit on and my bring soft toys or board games that they can carry on the bus.  Please remember to put sunscreen on your child and sneakers are best for playing on the equipment.
