November 6, 2017

This week we will begin our author study and learn about and read books by Eric Carle.  We will begin to notice some of the similarities in Eric Carle books.  We will be drawing pictures and labeling characters from his books as well as talking about the problem and solution in some of the stories we will be reading.

This week I will continue to meet with students to review math concepts we have learned thus far this year.

We will begin to read and talk about the first Thanksgiving and understand the origins of this holiday and to discuss things we are thankful for.  Our emotion word for the month of November is thankful.

REMINDER:
This is a short week - there is no school Tuesday, Election Day or Friday, Veterans Day.

Our letter/sound and sight word for this week are:  "t" "i" and here.

Please practice sight words and letters and sounds with your child.  Have a wonderful week!

Our star students:  Dominic and Jaelyn
