We are off to a great start. Thank you so much for all your donations to our classroom. I am so grateful for your generosity.
We had a great 2 days last week. We read some special stories - the Kissing Hand, Brown Bear and Chrysanthmum. We are getting to know each other and working on learning the rules and procedures for Springdale School and our classroom. We had our first fire drill as well.
This week we will be learning about the three ways we can read a book - look at the pictures, read the words or retell the story. We will practice reading to ourselves and with a partner. We will continue learning and practicing our rules and procedures. We are working on math calendar
routines - day of the week, days in school, attendance.
We will be working with our names - writing them and spelling them and adding our names to our word wall. We will continue to work on some special projects as well.
REMINDERS
Please remember to send all forms back to school. I am still missing some emergency forms. In addition, if I do not hear from you this week, I will assume that pictures of your child can be posted on this blog.
