Week of November 16th

This week in Reader's Workshop we will begin our nonfiction unit.  We will preview books and decide if they are fiction or nonfiction.  We will begin a chart of characteristics of nonfiction books and we will be reading several nonfiction books about animals.

In Writer's Workshop we will read a book about the five senses.  We will then begin our own informational booklet about the five senses.

In math we will continue working with teen numbers, do some estimating and begin solving number stories.

We continue to talk and learn about the first Thanksgiving as well as do some special projects.

REMINDERS:  Please return the new permission slip for  our rescheduled trip to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, and the  Conference Schedule Notice which is going home on Monday.
